Guest requests from last week and how we responded
Wondering what guests request for when they go to hotels? Are you the only one who requests for extra sachets of tea/coffee or are there others? 🙂
Here are some of the requests from our guests who stayed at our Kampala hotel this week and how we responded!
Guest J
“Tomorrow is Ash Wednesday. Where is the nearest catholic church?”
We at Prestige Hotel Suites are not very religious but we had to look into this guest request. We found out the closest catholic church to us and sent one of our staff members to check on the mass times as well in case our guest would like to attend at a specific time. Guest attended mass today morning. Job well done!
Guest S
“Where is the nearest sim shop? I would like to re-activate my sim and add some credit on it”
Usually, we would direct the guest to the sim shop. The guest requested that one of our staff take the cash and add it to his number. Our staff member satisfied this request, unfortunately, the sim shop needed to see the guest’s phone before adding money on it. Our staff member returned back to our hotel and accompanied the guest to the sim shop to complete the purchase.
Guest F
“I had asked the taxi driver that dropped us off to your hotel to pick up my colleague tonight. My colleague needs to get to the airport tonight. However, I do not have a Ugandan sim. Could you please call him for me and confirm if he is coming?”
Our manager personally called the taxi driver and confirmed the pick-up.
Guest N and J
“We need to iron our clothes. Do you have a flat iron?”
We sent a flat iron and ironing board to the guests’ room and picked up a $20 refundable deposit.
Guests M, J and S
“We will be returning at 7pm tonight. Please could you prepare 3 whole tilapia orders and keep them ready for when we return?”
The meals were cooked and ready by 7pm in time to be served to the guests when they arrived back to our hotel.
These are just some of the guest requests we had at our Kampala hotel this week. And yes, we did also have requests for extra tea/coffee sachets too. Don’t worry, you’re not the only one 🙂
