It is finally the end of 2019 and we are ushering in 2020. First of all, we would like to thank you immensely from the bottom of our hearts for all your love and support over the past year. We could not have done it without you.

 

 

At the beginning of 2018, we started on a journey to improve our hotel and stand out from the rest of the hotels in Kampala. We continuously asked you and all our guests for feedback, where we could improve, what was good, where we were lacking and we implemented solutions to counter all the issues. In 2018, we received a lot of words of encouragement as our guests saw our progress – we mainly focused on cleanliness and made this our holy grail. We raised our standards of cleanliness to such an extent that we were getting 10/10 reviews on this front. Furthermore, we even had guests who had checked out of other Kampala hotels around us and told us how our rooms and facilities were so much cleaner than hotels surrounding us. To us, cleanliness is godliness and we strive everyday to make this our number one priority. Whether it is clean rooms, crisp white linen, cobweb free corridors or clean cutlery, we have implemented strict standards that have to be followed by our staff to ensure our guests do not have a reason to be disappointed.

 

 

In 2019, we decided to focus on facilities. Having reviewed the number of facilities we have added to our hotel in 2019, no matter how big or small, we couldn’t be more proud. Adding more facilities has enabled us to make our guests more comfortable and receive rave reviews.

Here’s an outline of all the facilities that we added which stand out. We are so proud of our work achieved so far and we want you to be a part of this journey. 

• Expanded our reception and added easy step free access at reception entrance to create more space for our guests to relax when they arrive and for their visitors/disabled guests
• Added Conference room for 40-50 guests
• Added a Meeting Room for upto 10 guests
• Added brighter lighting to all corridors and to our Two Bedroom Suite bathrooms for your convenience
• Added a State of the Art Gym so that you can live a healthy lifestyle as you work out at our gym. So what if you are travelling?
• Added a faster Wi-Fi connection so that you can get your work done faster
• Expanded our selection of wines, whiskies and gins in the bar to provide you with a better selection of drinks
• Expanded our restaurant menu options – we added pizzas, pastas, burgers, sandwiches so that you have a variety of food to choose from when you dine at our hotel
• Added new toilets/shower for our guests who are using the gym/pool
• Added sockets at both our pool terrace and mini-garden for business guests who want to work outside. The idea is to create more work spaces around our hotel
• Added chairs/tables to our mini garden again to create a space where you could work and relax outside of your room
• Added pool loungers by our pool for you to relax on after swimming
• Extensive maintenance carried out to improve the look of our rooms, efficiency of showers
• Improved the ambience of our hotel by adding more lights in the restaurant and pool terrace
• Added more CCTV cameras to improve the security of our hotel

Apart from the above changes, we added so many smaller changes that were all aimed at making your stay as comfortable as possible such as adding more slippers to rooms, re-aligning mosquito nets to ensure they cover the entire bed well, breakfast timings changed from 7:30am to 7:00am so that you can have breakfast even though you have to rush out for an early meeting and so many more.

 

 

All this hard work has meant that this has been one of our best years yet. Our occupancy has shot up by a very large percentage and we are very grateful to all our guests, not just for staying with us, but for always providing suggestions for improvement to be even better.

We have a lot planned for 2020 and intend to continue adding more facilities to make our guests’ stay even more comfortable. We will also be focusing quite a bit on ambience this year so that our guests feel comfortable, relaxed and look forward to staying with us everytime they are away from home.
